We’ve been home for just a calendar month, after Dónall’s ten-week stay in Southampton General Hospital and my own corresponding displacement to a nearby guest house.
Thank you for sharing this update. It’s wonderful to hear that Donall is taking on the challenge of rebuilding his strength and improving so much. Love the image, as well! 🩵
It has been very tough for both of you and, I am sure there will be more testing days, but you both sound as if there is definite progress in your new normalcy…
Dear Janice--thank you for the update. Of course it's such an unsettling time for both of you, but you are both doing so well and my goodness what a heroic effort with the walking. I hope the sunshine is making it easier (and not too hot!). Good news about the winning poets' publications--well done with managing to get everything done. Daphne I know and love via the sadly now defunct Second Light Network.
Thank you for updating us - and the photo of the wonderful installation
My grandmother lived in Merrow just outside Guildford and we would often walk the Pilgrims Way ( happy memories ) so I can imagine Donall finding strength walking along it, And l wish you strength too. Tough for you both, But there is gardening and walking and poetry and love a good combination ❤️ ❤️

it's great to know that Donall is capable of those walks, and must be a great relief for you.
Good to catch up with the news about Donall!
Two and a half miles with a hill is terrific!
Good to hear you're both finding your feet a little after such a difficult time. Here's to walking a little further each day.
Oh, and that installation looks fantastic!
I wish you both well. Still a ways to go before you reach the shore.
You have each other. So important.
Take care Fadó.
Strength to you Janice.
